Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets of white fish (cod, tilapia, haddock, or similar)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice and zest of 2 lemons
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the fish fillets dry and coat them with olive oil.
  2. Season both sides with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add another 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  6. Sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Stir in the lemon juice, zest, parsley, salt, and pepper. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  8. Pour the lemon butter sauce over the cooked fish fillets.
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon slices for a lovely presentation.

Notes

If white fish isn’t on hand, substitute with salmon or any firm fish variety. Experiment with different herbs for a unique flavor.
