Description
Delicious and nutritious sweet chili salmon balls served with a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillets, skin removed
- 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup cream (for sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Finely chop the salmon or pulse it in a food processor until it reaches a chunky consistency.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the processed salmon, sweet chili sauce, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Mold the mixture into small balls, around 1-1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a greased baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the salmon balls for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the salmon balls are baking, whisk together the cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Adjust the consistency as necessary.
Notes
Let the salmon mixture rest in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before forming the balls for better adherence. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
