Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded (cheddar or a blend)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the pork chops on both sides.
  3. In a baking dish, combine cream of mushroom soup and sour cream; mix well until smooth and creamy.
  4. Layer sliced onion evenly over the soup mixture.
  5. Place the browned pork chops on top of the onion layer.
  6. Pour any remaining soup mixture over the pork chops and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes, until pork chops are fully cooked and tender.
  8. In the last 10 minutes of baking, remove the foil to let the cheese brown slightly.
