Description
A no-bake dessert that reimagines the classic pecan pie with layers of creamy textures and nutty flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pecans, chopped (optional: use walnuts for a different flavor)
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup vanilla wafer cookies, crushed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk (can substitute with almond milk for a dairy-free option)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to form a solid crust.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly until well incorporated.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream until everything is well combined to create the creamy filling.
- Spread half of this mixture evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle half of the chopped pecans over the cream layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining creamy mixture and pecans on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
For best results, ensure cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing. Garnish with whipped cream and crushed pecans for a beautiful presentation.
