Description

A delightful dessert that combines the flavors of traditional pecan pie in a simple cake format, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix and ground cinnamon.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the cake mix so that they’re distributed well.
  5. In another bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Pour the mixture over the pecans and cake mix, but do not stir.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Dust with powdered sugar for an elegant touch.
