- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually stir this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.
- In a separate bowl, blend the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread the peanut butter mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the peanut butter layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
For extra fudginess, avoid overbaking. You can add chocolate chips or chopped nuts for variations.
