Description

Indulgent brownies packed with a creamy peanut butter layer, perfect for gatherings or a special treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually stir this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. In a separate bowl, blend the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Spread the peanut butter mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the peanut butter layer.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For extra fudginess, avoid overbaking. You can add chocolate chips or chopped nuts for variations.
