Description
A beloved dish featuring crispy chicken coated in a sweet and tangy orange sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until fully coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, toss with the sauce, and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider double frying the chicken or marinating it in soy sauce and ginger before coating it.
