- For the Berry Mayonnaise:
- 1/3 cup lingonberry jam
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- For the Burgers:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 ounces shaved reindeer meat
- 8 slices turkey bacon
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices mild melting cheese
- 1 cup fresh arugula
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 to 2 tablespoons oil or butter for cooking
Instructions
- Make the Berry Mayo: Mix lingonberry jam and mayonnaise in a bowl until smooth; set aside.
- Shape the Burger Patties: Combine ground beef and shaved reindeer meat, form into four patties, and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Burgers: Heat oil or butter in a skillet, cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side; add cheese during the last minute.
- Prepare the Turkey Bacon & Toast the Buns: Cook turkey bacon until crispy and toast the buns until golden.
- Assemble the Burgers: Spread berry mayo on buns, add arugula, cheesy patty, and crispy bacon, then serve immediately.
Notes
For a more intense berry flavor, try different jellies or add fresh berries to the mayo.
