- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (or other nut butter)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Once melted, add in the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Stir until both sugars dissolve completely.
- Remove the pan from heat and promptly stir in the peanut butter until smooth and well-combined.
- Fold in the old fashioned oats, mixing until all oats are evenly coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of the oat mixture onto the sheet and gently flatten slightly.
- Drizzle caramel sauce generously over each cookie and sprinkle with a touch of sea salt.
- Refrigerate the cookies for at least 15 to 30 minutes to allow them to set properly.
Notes
For added crunch, mix in chopped nuts or chocolate chips. Letting the cookies set longer can enhance their firmness.
