Description

A delightful cheesecake Danish made with King’s Hawaiian Rolls, filled with a creamy cheese mixture and topped with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 12 rolls King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  2. Combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Slice the King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in the greased baking dish.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  5. Place the top halves of the rolls back on top, gently pressing down.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  8. Let it cool slightly. Drizzle the glaze over the warm Danish, allowing it to soak into the rolls.

Notes

For a crunchier texture, sprinkle chopped pecans or almonds over the top before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
