Description
A delightful cheesecake Danish made with King’s Hawaiian Rolls, filled with a creamy cheese mixture and topped with a sweet glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 rolls King’s Hawaiian Rolls
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and mix until smooth and creamy.
- Slice the King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in the greased baking dish.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
- Place the top halves of the rolls back on top, gently pressing down.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden and the filling is bubbly.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Let it cool slightly. Drizzle the glaze over the warm Danish, allowing it to soak into the rolls.
Notes
For a crunchier texture, sprinkle chopped pecans or almonds over the top before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
