Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic, cooking until they are soft and fragrant.
- Cut the cabbage into quarters and place it cut-side down in the skillet.
- Pour the vegetable broth around the cabbage.
- Season with salt and pepper, then cover the skillet with a lid or foil.
- Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and return to the oven uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For enhanced caramelization, cook the onions and garlic a little longer until golden. Top with breadcrumbs for crunch or experiment with herbs like thyme or rosemary.
