- 12 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a lighter option, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. You can also add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
