Description

A warm, crispy, and cheesy delight featuring thick Texas toast and a delicious garlic cheese spread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Thick Texas toast bread
  • 1/4 cup creamy mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (unsalted preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar Jack cheese blend
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and mayonnaise until smooth. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the shredded Cheddar Jack and Parmesan cheese, mixing until evenly coated.
  3. Lay Texas toast slices on a baking sheet. Spread a generous amount of the garlic cheese mixture on each slice.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown. For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  5. Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for easier mixing. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
