- Thick Texas toast bread
- 1/4 cup creamy mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup melted butter (unsalted preferred)
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar Jack cheese blend
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and mayonnaise until smooth. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the shredded Cheddar Jack and Parmesan cheese, mixing until evenly coated.
- Lay Texas toast slices on a baking sheet. Spread a generous amount of the garlic cheese mixture on each slice.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown. For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for easier mixing. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
