Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the milk and stir until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently a few times until it comes together.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
  7. Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure the butter is cold for best texture. You can experiment with different flours or add-ins for various flavors.
