Description

A delightful and nutritious alternative to traditional meatballs, blending fresh spinach and aromatic garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground meat (turkey, chicken, or beef)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat for healthier option)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: herbs like oregano or basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, chopped spinach, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Using your hands, scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through, or pan-fry them in olive oil over medium heat until browned on all sides.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce or red pepper flakes. Avoid over-mixing for a tender texture.
