Description
A delightful and nutritious alternative to traditional meatballs, blending fresh spinach and aromatic garlic.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground meat (turkey, chicken, or beef)
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat for healthier option)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: herbs like oregano or basil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, chopped spinach, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Using your hands, scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through, or pan-fry them in olive oil over medium heat until browned on all sides.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce or red pepper flakes. Avoid over-mixing for a tender texture.
