Description

Indulge in a slice of Gooey Oreo Cookie Cake, a rich chocolate dessert with creamy filling and crunchy Oreo pieces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 package Oreo cookies, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and dusting them with flour.
  2. Sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture and combine until smooth.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water.
  5. Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
  6. Divide the batter between the two prepared cake pans.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  9. For the filling, whip the heavy cream and cream cheese together, then mix in the powdered sugar.
  10. On a serving plate, place one layer of cake and spread Oreo filling on top, then top with the second layer.
  11. Frost the top and sides of the cake with remaining filling.
  12. Garnish with whole Oreo cookies on top.
  13. Slice and serve.

Notes

Consider pairing with vanilla ice cream or chocolate syrup for serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to five days.
