- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 package Oreo cookies, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and dusting them with flour.
- Sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture and combine until smooth.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water.
- Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
- Divide the batter between the two prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- For the filling, whip the heavy cream and cream cheese together, then mix in the powdered sugar.
- On a serving plate, place one layer of cake and spread Oreo filling on top, then top with the second layer.
- Frost the top and sides of the cake with remaining filling.
- Garnish with whole Oreo cookies on top.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
Consider pairing with vanilla ice cream or chocolate syrup for serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to five days.
