Description
A delightful creamy garlic butter chicken dish that transforms an ordinary weeknight meal into an extraordinary feast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, ensuring both sides are well coated.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken, cooking each side for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, around 2 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for a couple of minutes, scraping the bottom of the pan to incorporate any brown bits.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Let it gently simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce. Allow it to heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Notes
For lighter alternatives, consider substituting heavy cream with coconut milk or almond cream. You can also marinate the chicken for extra flavor or add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
