Description

Delicious bites filled with savory ground beef and cheese, enveloped in golden, buttery dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g ground beef
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Onion powder to taste
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 120 g shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: diced crispy bacon
  • Optional: chopped pickles
  • Optional: caramelized onions
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit or pizza dough, cut into 8–12 rounds and flattened to 10 cm diameter
  • 28 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 5 g minced garlic or garlic powder
  • 15 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s evenly browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Season the cooked beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Allow it to cool completely.
  3. Fold the shredded cheese into the beef mixture and add optional ingredients, mixing well.
  4. Flatten each dough piece into a circle and place 1–2 tablespoons of the filling in the center.
  5. Pinch the edges of the dough together to seal the ball.
  6. Place filled dough balls seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  7. Brush melted butter mixed with minced garlic over each dough ball and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Preheat the oven to 190°C and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Brush with leftover garlic butter after baking and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not overfill the bombs. You can prep the filling a day in advance.
