Description
A delightful dish featuring flaky cod fillets sautéed in garlic butter, served with a tangy-sweet chili lime sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- Cod fillets: Fresh or frozen (thaw before use)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves: Freshly minced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice: Freshly squeezed
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- Salt and pepper: To taste
- Optional: Chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the thawed cod fillets into strips about 1-inch wide and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the cod strips with salt and pepper to taste and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the cod strips to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes per side or until they are golden brown and flaky.
- Mix the sweet chili sauce with lime juice in a small bowl. Adjust lime juice to taste.
- Once the cod is done cooking, drizzle the sweet chili lime sauce over the fish and garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for optimal flavor. Let the fish rest for a couple of minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
