Description

Easy-to-make festive appetizers featuring creamy, sweetened cream cheese and tangy cranberry sauce rolled in tortillas.

  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (preferably homemade or low-sugar canned)
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional – walnuts or pecans preferred)
  • Fresh cranberries or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy, no lumps visible.
  2. Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous, even layer (about 1/4–1/3 cup) of the cream cheese mixture over the entire tortilla, leaving a small edge clear for easier rolling.
  3. Spoon cranberry sauce evenly over the cream cheese. Spread gently to avoid tearing the tortilla.
  4. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts evenly atop the cranberry layer.
  5. Roll each tortilla tightly from one end to the other. Wrap each roll in plastic wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Remove rolls from the fridge and unwrap. Using a sharp knife, cut each roll into 1-inch pinwheels. Arrange on a festive serving platter.
  7. Add fresh cranberries or parsley sprigs around the pinwheels for a bright, festive touch.

Notes

These roll ups can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator. Use a sharp serrated knife for clean slices.
