- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can creamy soup (such as cream of chicken or cream of mushroom)
- 2 cups Dorito chips
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
- Chopped green onions (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and milk to the beef, stirring until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the seasoned beef, creamy soup, and diced tomatoes (if using).
- In a baking dish, layer half of the Dorito chips evenly.
- Pour the beef mixture over the chips, then sprinkle with cheese and add the remaining Dorito chips on top.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- If desired, garnish the casserole with chopped green onions before serving hot.
Notes
For added flavor, toast the Doritos lightly in the oven before adding them to the casserole. Adjust seasoning in the beef mixture to taste before baking.
