Ingredients

- 4 Russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 tbsp coarse sea salt
- Optional: chives, sour cream, cheese, bacon
Instructions
- Scrub and dry potatoes thoroughly.
- Rub each with olive oil or butter.
- Sprinkle generously with sea salt.
- Place directly on oven rack and bake at 425°F for 45–60 minutes.
- Split open, fluff insides, and add toppings as desired.
Notes
- For extra crunch, brush potatoes with a second coat of oil halfway through baking.
- Never wrap in foil—this traps steam and softens the skin.
