  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the Italian sausage over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the orzo and Italian seasoning, cooking for another minute.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and let simmer until the orzo is tender, about 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and spinach, cooking until the spinach has wilted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
