Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or hot)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet, brown sausage, breaking into pieces.
  3. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened and fragrant.
  4. Deglaze with chicken broth or wine, scraping the pan.
  5. Pour in cream and simmer until thickened.
  6. Stir in parmesan until melted into sauce.
  7. Toss pasta in sauce until well coated.
  8. Garnish with basil or parsley, serve immediately.
