Description

A delightful dessert with a rich, velvety texture and tangy-sweet flavor of cranberries, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin in cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat the cranberry sauce and sugar over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat, and stir in the dissolved gelatin until fully combined.
  4. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the cranberry mixture, then gently fold in the cream cheese until fully incorporated.
  7. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a twist, consider using Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese, or fresh cranberries in place of cranberry sauce. Garnish with fresh cranberries or mint for added flair.
