Description

Delicious bite-sized puff pastry filled with creamy brie cheese and tart cranberry sauce, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, but still cold)
  • 6 oz brie cheese (cut into small cubes)
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares, approximately 3 inches by 3 inches.
  3. Place a few cubes of brie cheese on each pastry square, followed by a dollop of cranberry sauce on top.
  4. Fold the corners of the pastry squares toward the center to create a small cup and pinch the edges to seal them.
  5. Add more cranberry sauce on top if desired and brush the edges of the pastry with the egg wash.
  6. Transfer the assembled pastry cups to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes and garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs.

Notes

For added crunch, incorporate finely chopped walnuts or pecans into the filling. Drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze before serving for extra flavor.
