- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg until fully combined.
- Gradually blend in the flour, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped cranberries.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
- Once the bars have cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top.
- Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free all-purpose flour. Add orange zest for extra flavor.
