- 1 lb crab meat
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and fragrant.
- Stir in the all-purpose flour and cook for about 1 minute, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly.
- Gradually whisk in the seafood stock and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Add the shrimp to the pot and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the crab meat, heavy cream, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Simmer for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and additional flavor.
Notes
