Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan generously.
  2. Crush the pretzel sticks in a bowl, then mix with melted butter and a sprinkle of sugar. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes to give the crust a hint of crispiness.
  4. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, and caramel sauce. Cook over medium heat until boiling, then stir in cooled coffee, salt, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the pretzel crust, ensuring even coverage.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until set.
  7. Allow to cool completely, then cut into bars and serve.

Notes

For an added touch, dust with sea salt before serving and pair with vanilla ice cream or coffee.
