Description

Delicious stuffed bell peppers filled with ground beef, rice, and aromatic spices—a perfect family meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onions and garlic until softened.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Fill each bell pepper with the beef and rice mixture.
  7. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the peppers are tender.
  9. Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top if using, and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey for ground beef. You can also use quinoa for a gluten-free adaptation.
