- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth in a bowl.
- Combine the beef mixture with the cream mixture, stirring well to incorporate all the ingredients.
- Pour the combined mixture into a greased casserole dish. Top generously with shredded provolone cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added nutrition, consider including spinach or using ground turkey instead of beef. Best served with a side salad or cauliflower rice.
