- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.
- Add in the breadcrumbs, eggs, whole milk, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Top the meatloaf generously with marinara sauce.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For an elevated flavor experience, add fresh herbs or red pepper flakes. Using freshly grated cheese can enhance creaminess.
