Description

A comforting cheesy ham and potato casserole that’s perfect for family gatherings and weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups of diced potatoes
  • 2 cups of diced ham
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the diced potatoes, diced ham, cheddar cheese, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if using, for added crunch.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For an even creamier casserole, use half-and-half instead of milk, or add a splash of sour cream. You can also add diced jalapeños for a kick.
