Description

A warm, cheesy garlic shrimp bread combining succulent shrimp sautéed in butter and garlic, topped with melted cheese on a toasted loaf.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large French baguette or Italian loaf
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup mayo (optional, for extra creaminess)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for one minute until fragrant, then add shrimp, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  2. Prepare the bread by slicing it lengthwise and toasting the cut side under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. If desired, spread mayo over the toasted bread. Distribute the shrimp mixture evenly, top with mozzarella and Parmesan, and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  4. Return the loaf to the broiler and broil until the cheese melts and turns golden, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into pieces and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use fresh shrimp. Add lemon juice or paprika for extra flavor.
