Description

A comforting fusion of bruschetta and grilled cheese, featuring fresh ingredients and gooey cheese.


Ingredients

  • Slices of bread
  • Mozzarella cheese (or provolone)
  • Juicy tomatoes
  • Garlic
  • Fresh basil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes, minced garlic, and fresh basil on top.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Top with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  8. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For a twist, try different cheeses or add herbs. Use day-old bread for better texture.
