Description
A delightful dish that bursts with flavor, featuring crispy chicken pieces coated in a creamy, spicy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, soy sauce, and rice vinegar to create the sauce. Set aside.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken pieces, ensuring each piece is well-seasoned.
- Coat each piece of chicken in cornstarch, ensuring an even layer covers the surface.
- Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it over medium heat until hot.
- Add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oil and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In a large bowl, toss the crispy chicken in the prepared sauce until each piece is thoroughly coated.
- Plate your Bang Bang Chicken hot, garnished with chopped green onions for a fresh touch.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken pieces in the sauce for at least an hour before frying. You can also bake the chicken instead of frying for a lighter version.
