Description

A delightful dessert combining juicy baked pears with tart berries, sweet honey, crunchy walnuts, and tangy blue cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Bartlett pears
  • 1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (or almonds/pecans)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (or feta for a milder option)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Halve the pears and scoop out the core gently.
  3. In a baking dish, place the pear halves, cut-side up. Add mixed berries into the center of each pear.
  4. Generously drizzle honey over the pears and berries.
  5. Sprinkle walnuts over the dessert for added crunch.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until pears are tender.
  7. After baking, sprinkle crumbled blue cheese over the warm pears.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Ensure pears are ripe yet firm for best results. Consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
