Description
A delightful, savory fried rice dish featuring shrimp and steak, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a casual meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, bell pepper)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Toss in the shrimp and cook until they turn pink; then, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil, followed by the thinly sliced steak. Cook until browned, then take them out and set aside with the shrimp.
- If the skillet needs it, add a bit more oil and toss in the mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for a few minutes until they’re tender but still vibrant.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and pour in the beaten eggs. Scramble them until fully cooked.
- Bring back the cooked rice, shrimp, and steak to the skillet. Drizzle in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, mixing everything together so that each grain of rice is coated in flavor.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Finally, garnish with green onions and serve hot.
Notes
Serve with sesame seeds and pair with spring rolls or a fresh cucumber salad for added crunch.
