- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 cup almond paste
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Sliced almonds (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into triangles.
- In a bowl, mix the almond paste, powdered sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the almond filling on the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the triangles into a crescent shape and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the croissants.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. Freeze for up to two months.
