Description

Delightful almond croissants filled with sweet almond paste, perfect for breakfast or as an indulgent snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 cup almond paste
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sliced almonds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into triangles.
  3. In a bowl, mix the almond paste, powdered sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the almond filling on the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll the triangles into a crescent shape and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the croissants.
  7. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  8. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. Freeze for up to two months.
